From June 7 to 9 in Varna was held the 52nd FIAT-IFTA I.C.D. Annual Meeting 2023, hosted by the Union of the Funeral Companies in Bulgaria on the occasion of their 30th anniversary of the establishment of the organization.
An excellently organized world-class event of which we had the honor to be one of the sponsors.
There were general meetings of the two organizations and presentations of several companies related to innovative green solutions related to the future of the funeral business, current statistics – the number of cremations and burials in the USA, the impact of the pandemic on the attitudes of the population, innovative software oriented to funeral companies and mourners and sales presentations. The opening cocktail was held on the terrace of the International Hotel and Casino, where delegates and guests from all over the world were welcomed. President Marek Cichewicz welcomed the guests who enjoyed fine drinks, rich catering and pleasant music. The following day was the gala dinner where the sponsors and long-standing members of the SFPB were officially awarded, and the dinner was sponsored by Pilato SpA. It was a real pleasure during these days to be together with professionals from all over the world, and although at first glance we are different people who are united by one common goal – to take the funeral business to a higher level.
The last evening was the icing on the cake, which greatly impressed the guests – as part of the world cultural heritage, they saw the ritual of the chimney-sweeping. The Japanese were greatly impressed, and the Mongols were eager to step on the still hot embers.
The big applause was for the organizer and host in the person of Atanas Argirov from LAST TRIBUTE LAST TRIBUTE – chairman of the SFPB and the treasurer of the world organization.
We are expecting the next edition in Krakow, and in 2025 in Tokyo.
